STV will serve as project management consultant for accessibility upgrades at the 42nd Street-Bryant Park and 5th Avenue subway stations in New York City. The work includes four new elevators, accessible routes between platforms and street level, upgraded boarding areas, fare control, stairs, and ramps, plus ADA-compliant restrooms at 42nd Street-Bryant Park. Service is expected to keep running during construction. For wheelchair users, people with mobility disabilities, and others who need step-free access, elevator access at busy hubs can make transit far more usable.
